• Provide support and advise Utah Transit Authority (UTA) client groups on complex and strategic employee and labor issues and help them manage employee/labor relations.
• Assist executives, managers, and supervisors in applying and interpreting human resource (HR) policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreement (CBA), federal and state employment law.
• Be involved in talent selection, development, and deployment for client groups.
• Develop and teach leaders.
• Advise management regarding organizational design, position development, and job evaluations.
• Assist in creating/updating job descriptions to document changing relationships, roles, and duties in the company.
• Administer the corporate staffing plan and position control; assist managers in modeling labor needs with the business.
• Coordinate and update employee data with human resources information systems (HRIS).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (5) years of human resources work experience in supporting client groups within an organization.
• Experience must include employee relations, talent management, compensation, learning and development, and change management.
• Experience with unions and labor relations preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred.
