JOB SUMMARY

 

Creates and maintains daily Commuter Rail Operator and Train Host schedules. Creates schedules for days worked, bid days off, and to fill in for unexpected time off including sick time, Personal Time, FMLA, and any other issues that arise.

Monitors policies and CBA agreements that pertain to any type of time off requests from the employees. Follows applicable federal guidelines to maintaining compliance.  Processes bi-weekly payroll and processes payroll memos as applicable. Works alongside the Commuter Rail Planner ensuring that work for each change day meets revenue service needs. Assesses changes in workforce and modifies schedules and bid work for each change day.

 

Works with other departments including Strategic Planners, Operations Planners, Operations Business Systems Analysts, and FrontRunner Training.  This includes planning schedules, CBA run-cut, creating block sheets, and supervising the bid day process for FrontRunner operations.  Helps track labor expenses, hours worked, overtime, and operating time – while ensuring optimal solutions critical to business unit needs.  Works to increase operational efficiency within the department.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION

  • Associates in Planning, Business Administration, Math, or a related field.

 

EXPERIENCE

Three years total experience, including:

  • Public transportation (Commuter Rail preferred)
  • Supervisory
  • Scheduling
  • Payroll
  • Auditing
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, and Word preferred
  • Experience with programs OWATS, Trapeze, JD Edwards, Kronos preferred

Pay Rate: $27.356 per hour
