JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Development Strategist (Strategist) is primarily responsible for drafting, maintaining, and administering the Facilities Strategic Plan, including establishing and updating baseline drawings, condition status, and other information for all UTA facilities. Strategist also collaborates with various UTA departments to ensure proper consideration of the Long-Range Transit Plan, Asset Management Plan, State of Good Repair recommendations, and other key metrics.

Based on the Facilities Strategic Plan, Strategist anticipates and prioritizes agency needs and recommends projects for further development. Strategist supports Facilities Development Manager, staff, and other departments in programming and preparing for construction of new, expanded, renovated, or otherwise modified facilities.

Strategist must be proficient in reading and manipulating architectural drawings, GIS data and maps, various databases, and spreadsheets. Proficiency is also required in Microsoft Office, ArcMap, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Strategist must be able to collaborate with, and give clear direction to, internal and external team members.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or other closely related field.

 EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or other closely related field (Masters degree preferred).

 EXPERIENCE

Four years progressively responsible experience in project management, business operations, property management, regional and community planning, transportation planning, urban design, financial analysis, or workspace administration.

Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills

Proficient at industry standard design software (i.e. Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcMAP, etc.)

Must have a valid Utah driver's license. Must be a safe driver with no more than four (4) moving violations in the past three (3) years. Cannot have more than two (2) violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last ten (10) years.

Pay Rate: 77,500.00 or more depending on experience.
