At Utah Transit Authority (UTA), we share a passion for community in our work, we help keep Utah connected and understand that people are at the center of the UTA Way. We are looking for a Labor Relations Officer to lead UTA’s Labor Relations program.
As the Labor Relations Officer you will be instrumental in building long-lasting collaborative working relationships with agency and union leaders. You will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO), participate on the People Office leadership team, and lead as staff of one. You will work in coordination with the CPO to implement and maintain the company’s labor relations programs, policies and procedures. You will be instrumental in developing specific collective bargaining strategies and provide counsel to leadership related to collective bargaining, joint resolutions, grievances and represented employee relations. This position may also serve as the chief negotiator during collective bargaining.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five (5) years progressive responsibility, professional experience in collective bargaining and labor relations activities. Ability to construct and interpret financial models to facilitate economic analysis throughout the collective bargaining process. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

- Knowledge of the company’s strategic plan, regulatory and political environment, as well as the company’s policies, procedures and practices, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license is required.

Salary: From $97,000.00 to $121,000.00 depending on experience
